Cemaes Bay Beach
Cemaes Bay is an inlet between the headlands of Wylfa Head and Llanbadrig Point facing north into the Irish Sea. The bay is split into two beaches either side of the harbour and river. Traeth Bach beach is the smaller of two beaches in Cemaes Bay, located on the west side of the bay, over the river from the larger sandier Traeth Mawr. Both beaches are sandy and offer a safe, sheltered and gently sloping beach with rock pools, popular with both families and children.
Cemaes village includes a sheltered natural harbour that looks north to the Irish Sea and is a site of an ancient settlement, and is the most northerly village in Wales. Cemaes Bay is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, some of which is owned by the National Trust.
Facilities include parking, slipway, promenade and the harbour with a selection of shops, cafe and tea rooms.
