Porth Dafarch beach is a sandy beach within a sheltered cove. A great location for families as it is sheltered and has rocks and rock pools to explore and provides some great canoeing and Stand Up Paddling (SUP). The cove is also a popular visit for small boats as it provides great place to anchor and swim.

Porth Tywyn Mawr means Sandy Beach and this is what you get, a very family friendly sandy beach. Popular place for all watersports, including, windsurfing, sea kayaking, sailing, swimming and kitesurfing. Limited parking although the caravan park at one end does make it busier than you would expect by the parking. You do have a shop within the caravan park.

Borth Wen beach is a south facing curving sandy beach but at high tide you are left with mainly shingle. The beach is backed by marram grass covered dunes that have wooden boardwalks throughout the dunes. The sheltered nature of this bay provides a great location for families. The beach is also popular with surfers, sailors and canoeing/kayaking. Facilities include car parking

Caer Gybi Roman Fort is small rectangular for overlooking the harbour which formed a defense against raiders from across the Irish Sea. After the departure of the Romans from Britain the site was gifted to Cybi by Maelgwyn, the 6th Century King of Gwynedd, where he founded a monastery of which the present St Cybi church is the successor.

Holyhead Maritime Museum is in the oldest lifeboat station in Wales from 1847. The museum has displays of models, paintings, photos and artefacts that take you through the maritime history of Holyhead from Roman times to the present day ferry port. Seasonal opening – open Easter to the end of October from Tuesday to Sunday, including Bank Holidays.

Trearddur Bay lifeboat station was established in 19677 and operates two inshore lifeboats. Station has limited opening times and shop is open on Sundays.
