The Blackpool Tower was opened in the 1890s and is 158m (518 feet 9 inches) high to the top of the flag pole. However, due to incorrect painting, it started to corrode and was nearly demolished. Lucky for us, in the 1920s, they decided to repair rather than demolish it.
Blackpool Tower is a Grade One Listed Building which offers a variety of attractions, including The Blackpool Tower Eye, which offers panoramic views and a glass SkyWalk known as ‘the walk of faith’; Picture yourself dancing in the charm of The Blackpool Tower Ballroom; The Blackpool Tower Circus, with stunt acts and clowns; The Blackpool Dungeon, which offers a walk-through experience; and The Fifth Floor, which offers entertainment and events.
