Chepstow Castle

Chepstow Castle is one of the earliest stone-built castles in Britain, located above cliffs on the River Wye, construction began in 1067 under the instruction of the Norman Lord William FitzOsbern.

The castle was modified throughout the Middle Ages and saw action during and after the Civil War.

There are special events held often in the castle and visitors are able to walk along the battlements.
