Bacton Beach is in a small village on the Norfolk coast between Cromer and Great Yarmouth. A sandy tidal beach with wooden groynes and some grass areas behind, but be aware that the beach disappears at high tide.
The sand is firm underfoot, and when the tide is out, it is perfect for long walks up and down the coast to either Mundesley in one direction or Walcott in the other. If the tide is in, a path is another option which runs behind the beach.
Bacton Beach has dog restrictions on a large part of the beach between 1st May and 30th September. This means you can take dogs on parts of the beach in the high season, but do check local signage.
There is a small car park and some road parking, a few pubs and cafes, holiday parks, and you will find toilets towards the Mundesley end of the village.
