Stray Beach is a sandy beach to the south of Redcar and the North of Marske sands. As this beach lacks facilities it tends to be quieter than the more popular nearby beaches of Redcar and Saltburn. Facilities at the beach include parking, toilets and a cafe but for more, you will need to head into Redcar.

Saltburn Beach is a large flat shingle and sand beach backed by cliffs. To get down to the beach and pier you have a Victorian water-powered Cliff Lift. A popular beach for watersports, in particular for surfing with beach breaks on either side of the pier. Facilities include lifeguards, a pier, a promenade, parking and more facilities in the town.
