Luskentyre Beach has been named one of the top ten beaches in the world, a spectacular combination of beautiful white sand stretching for miles against a backdrop of calm blue waters and an unspoilt shell sand bay.
You can reach the beach by taking the narrow road along the north side of the bay and parking at the end near the cemetery. You can also walk through the dunes.
The views you get at Luskentyre are fantastic, and your walks shouldn’t be rushed. The views include the Island of Taransay, which was the location of the BBCโs Castaway series filmed in 2000, whilst the beach on the other side of the bay is Seilebost Beach. These two beaches give you two of the best remote beaches in the UK and should be on your bucket list to visit and, in particular, photograph.
Luskentyre Beach is dog-friendly all year round.
Car park and public toilets with disabled facilities.
