Whitesands beach is one of the most popular sandy beaches in Pembrokeshire, this west-facing beach has rocky outcrops at either end, with the northern area being popular for those looking for surf whilst the southern end is quieter and has some sheltered bays.
The tide can reduce the beach and can cut you off so check out the tide times below when planning a visit.
In the summer it can get quite crowded on both the beach and in the water.ย To help swimming and surfing areas marked by lifeguard flags during the season.
The beach does have a car park that can get very busy in the summer and an alternative could be to park at St Davids Head and then walk down. Other facilities include toilets, a cafe and seasonal lifeguards.
Good coast path walks from Whitesands Beach especially up to St Davids Head.
