Quinag

Quinag covers 3,699 hectares in the Scottish Highlands, with an undulating series of peaks along its Y-shaped crest. The main Quinag footpath is easily accessed from the car park on the east side of the A894.

Quinag boasts three separate Corbett summits

  • Sàil Ghorm (Blue Heel 776 m/2,546 ft)
  • Sàil Gharbh (Rough Heel 808 m/2,651 ft)
  • Spidean Coinich (Mossy Peak 764 m/2,506 ft)

The open hillsides are heather moorland, grassy slopes and peat bogs and the remnants of ancient woodland comprising birch, rowan, hazel, wych elm, aspen and oak are scattered throughout the north side of the mountain.

The John Muir Trust is working to protect the integrity of the wild landscape at Quinag.
