Glamorgan Heritage Coast Centre
The Glamorgan Heritage Coast Centre at Dunraven Park in Southerndown is where you can find out anything you want to know about the Glamorgan coastline.
The centre contains a small shop and facilities and is a mine of information relating to the Heritage Coast.
From the centre, you can access nearly 14 miles of the coastline, following limestone cliff and both rocky and sandy beaches. A great introduction to the Vale of Glamorgan! If you’re in the area, why not visit Dunraven Castle which is just around the bay

Trecco Bay beach is one of the many Porthcawl bays and is a large sand and rocky beach between two rocky points, situated between Sandy Bay and Newton Beach. The only facilities are at the holiday park and you do have seasonal lifeguards. Although only a short walk from Trecco Bay holiday park this beach is typically not that busy.

Dunraven Castle was actually a fortified mansion built in 1803 near Southerndown on the South Wales coast. This is on the headland overlooking Dunraven Bay and is a spectacular location. The castle is in ruins but the walled garden survives.
