Bexhill Carnival

Bexhill-on-Sea, with its long shingle beach and elegant seafront, bursts into colour each July for its annual carnival. Expect a week of live music, family fun, and a grand parade that brings the whole town together. It’s an authentic slice of classic British seaside spirit.

What to Expect

• The Parade: Floats, marching bands, dance troupes, and plenty of costumes weave through town on the Saturday afternoon.
• Party in the Park: Live music, food stalls, and a funfair at The Polegrove through the week and after the parade.

Parking is available in town car parks and at The Polegrove, but spaces fill up quickly on parade day. Direct services from London Victoria, Brighton, and Hastings stop at Bexhill station, a 10-minute walk to the seafront.

Staying for more than a day? You can also take a coastal walk to Cooden Beach or nip along to Hastings Old Town for more seaside charm. Cosy guesthouses and seafront hotels mean you can linger and soak up the relaxed pace.
