Go Ape 3 millionth customer

Go Ape have just celebrated our 3 millionth customer – worth shouting about!

GO APE SWINGS TO RECORD HIGH AS IT WELCOMES THREE MILLIONTH CUSTOMER THROUGH THE TREES

Monday 17 September: Three million customers have unleashed their inner Tarzan at Go Ape! Tree Top Adventure courses nationwide since its first course opened a decade ago. The celebration marks a year of the Great British ‘staycation’ with more families than ever choosing to holiday closer to home and enjoy everything the UK has to offer.

2012 has seen Go Ape branch out with two further Tree Top Adventure courses, bringing its first to London, and also opening a third course in Scotland. The company has also rolled out its Forest Segway adventure in five new locations nationwide and a second Tree Top Junior course, catering for younger adventurers.

Jerome Mayhew, managing director at Go Ape comments: “This is an amazing achievement for us in what has been an incredible year for the company so far. To see our three millionth customer swing through the trees in the middle of a sport-filled summer is really fantastic.”

The three millionth customer, Gaye Pickard, took to the trees at the Wendover Woods course near Aylesbury on Saturday 15 September with her husband and four daughters. She was presented with a celebratory certificate from the Go Ape team on descending to the ground, and also received gift vouchers for future admission.

Gaye said: “Wow! What can we say? It was incredible, we had the time of our lives – made even more special by the fact that we were treated as special guests for being the three millionth customer. We would like to thank the staff at Go Ape in particular, who made sure that our adventure ran smoothly. My eldest daughter absolutely loved the zip wires – she is already planning her next trip with friends. We will definitely be using the complimentary vouchers in the near future – I think it’s something everyone should have a go at. We’ll definitely be recommending it to our friends!”

With the popularity of Go Ape! Forest Segway growing at an extraordinary rate and Tree Top Junior proving to be just as exhilarating for younger adventurists as its adult counterpart, 2013 is forecast to be another successful year for the company.

Mayhew continues, “We are continually planning new ways to bring the thrill of adventure to customers across the UK. Go Ape adventures offer customers a chance to share natural forest beauty, breath-taking views and natural highs with their fellow primates. This summer in particular has seen the British public choosing to ‘staycation’ in the UK, getting outdoors and challenging themselves and we are thrilled to be a part of it.”

Coast Radar would like to add that Go Ape has many locations in and around the coast of the UK and provides an excellent opportunity for adventure away from the beach.
