June Festivals to watch out for!

It’s that time of year again when everyone is hosting a music or food festival! We all love a weekend away and the United Kingdom has some of the best entertainment near water that you can get. Here’s our recommendations for June! Get yer wellies out!

1. The Rock Oyster Festival, North Cornwall

21st – 23rd June

This is a ‘celebration of food, music and art’ and definitely one for the whole family! It’s held at Dinham House, Near Wadebridge in Cornwall each year and growing fast.

Tickets range from £12 for an adult up to £60 depending on how long you want to spend there and if you’re camping there or not!

2. Rock Ness, Loch Ness, Scotland

7th – 9th June

This music festival is in the stunning Inverness on the shores of Loch Ness and a weekend camping will set you back £139 but the line up is awesome and includes great music from Jaxx, Plan B, Basement, FatBoy Slim and a load of great comedians.

The venue is stunning and if you’re tired of the crowds you can always do a bit of Nessie spotting! There’s boutique camping and affordable camping options too and day tickets are available for those who don’t want to ‘sleep over’.

3.  Isle of Wight Festival

13th – 16th June

The festival is in Newport at the Seaclose Park and tickets are £185 for the weekend with camping, getting you in to enjoy the sounds from top rock and indie names like The Stone Roses, The Killers and Bon Jovi!

Other acts include Boomtown Rats, Emeli Sande, Levellers, The Script and Little Mix! Looks like a great line up for a killer weekend on the island!

4.  All Tomorrows Parties, Camber Sands, Rye, Sussex

21st – 23rd June

There are 35 live acts playing at this weekend event in Rye with the event’s curators Deerhunter  as headline act with two shows , Atlas Sound, plus The Breeders performing ‘Last Splash’, Tom Tom Club, Rhys Chatham with Oneida, William Basinski performing ‘The Disintegration Loops’ and James to name but a few.

Tickets are coming in at £180 per person but  include accommodation in private apartments for you and your friends. All tickets include a 3-day festival pass and 3 nights accommodation.

If you know of other festivals happening near the coast or near lakes please post them here so we can share them with our readers. Thank you.
