Tintagel, Cornwall

Tintagel (Cornwall) Coast and Beaches

Tintagel is really famous for the legend of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table.

Most people come to visit the Castle but we would also suggest paying a little attention to the beautiful coastline.

Located on the north Atlantic coast of Cornwall this area has some spectacular coastal scenery. The turquoise green water around this stretch of coast is caused by the slate/sand cliffs around Tintagel which contain elements of copper. On a warm sunny day, the sunlight turns the water a light turquoise green colour in warm weather.
