The British coast is a unique and diverse habitat home to many animals, some native and some stopping off on long migrations. While some coastal wildlife is what you would expect to see, including seagulls, fish and crabs, others take more effort, such as seals, puffins, whales and even sharks. We also include land-based wildlife worth a visit whilst visiting the coast, including sanctuaries and zoos.
