Whiteford Sands beach is a large sandy beach backed by dunes. Behind the dunes you have Whiteford Burrows that is an important feeding ground for wading birds and wildfowl. Currents can be strong along this beach so care should be taken. No facilities at Whiteford Sands with the closest parking just outside of Llanmadoc.

Broughton Bay beach is a big sandy beach backed by large sand dunes on the Gower peninsula. There is also a small cove at the southern end of the bay. Swimming can be dangerous due to the tides and undertows but in calmer conditions surfing, windsurfing and kite-surfing is possible. At low tide you can access the adjacent Whiteford Sands
