Coastal Walks
The coastal path passes through Polzeath in one direction to Rock, and in the other through New Polzeath, Pentire Point and along miles of stunning coastline. On the headland of The Rumps is the Iron-Age cliff castle. This fort with superb coastal vistas has a triple rampart and ditch system protecting the headland.

Polzeath beach is sand/shingle and is also one of the worlds most renowned surfing destinations. You have two bays besides each other here, Lundy Bay and Epphaven Cove are both small beaches of sand and rocks only becoming available as the tide goes out. The beaches are quite sheltered by the headlands of Carnweather Point and Trevan Point, and the area has been landscaped by the National Trust but care should be taken. Excellent cliff

Greenaway Beach has sand, pebbles and wonderful rock pools at low tide that provide for excellent fun with crabbing nets. Approached by steps down the cliff below Tregreen usable only at lower tides. Nearly always quiet as it is largely overlooked in favour of Daymer Bay to the south or Hayle Bay and Polzeath to the north. No facilities.
