Breakwater Beach is a dog-friendly beach in the centre of St. Ives, Cornwall. The beach is located on the outside of Smeaton’s Pier [the harbour wall] but is only available for a short period, either side of low tide. At high tides, the beach is submerged, but you have a nice seating area, and you can see people swimming and jumping from the rocks.
The beach itself is split in two by the boat launching area. On one side, you have a sandy stretch that joins with the Harbour Beach, and on the other side, you have a rocky area.
