Torre Abbey Beach
Torre Abbey is the main Torquay beach on the promenade.
A great family sandy beach in the town with some rocky sections to explore. The waters are shallow and safe and popular for watersports.
On the other side of the seafront road is a large public green, called Torre Abbey Meadows.
Facilities include pay and display parking, promenade, cafe/restaurant, toilets, disabled visitors’ facilities and beach access, deckchair hire, slipway, bowling, tennis, crazy golf, pitch and putt.
Torre Abbey Beach is a Blue Flag Beach and has been awarded a regional Seaside Award.
Dog Friendly Beach?
Torre Abbey beach allows No dogs during summer season although a dog exercise area at nearby Torre Abbey Meadows.

Hollicombe beach is set below high sandstone cliffs this sheltered red sand beach is a real sun trap and at low tide rock pools are exposed at both ends. Meadfoot beach is a small beach with a mixture of rocks, shingle and sand set below cliffs. The spilt level promenade backs onto a tree covered hillside. Preston Sands  beach is a red sandy beach and at low tide you will find rock pools at the northern end. Further along it joins Paignton promenade and Paignton Sands that stretches right along the front to Paignton Harbour. Torre Abbey is a historic building, spectacular garden and art gallery in Torquay. The abbey was founded in 1196 as a monastery for Premonstratensian canons, and is now one of the best preserved medieval monasteries in the south of England.
