Durdle Door Beach is named after the natural arch reaching out into the sea.
Located on the South West Coast Path, the arch is one of Dorset’s most cherished beauty spots, a 30-minute walk from Lulworth Cove or a 15-minute walk from the holiday park.
Although popular, this pebble and fine shingle beach is never too busy, partly due to its inaccessibility. If you are interested, we recommend having good footwear, as the cliff path and some steep steps down to the beach can be very slippery.
Durdle Door Beach and the surrounding coast allow dogs all year round, making it an ideal spot for walking and enjoying the beauty of Dorset’s Jurassic Coast. There are no dog bins, so come prepared to carry any bags back to the car park, which has some bins.
There are no facilities at the beach; the nearest car park and shops are located at the Durdle Door holiday park, or a longer walk to Lulworth Cove.
