Fisherrow is the tidal harbour at Musselburgh. Fisherrow beach or Fisherrow Sands is a sand/shingle mix and is split in two by the harbour. The East Beach is the larger of the two beaches and is backed by a promenade and some grassy areas. Facilities include parking by the beach and Musselburgh has shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants.

Silverknowes beach is sandy with some pebbles and close to Edinburgh. This beach is really an extension of Caramond and you have parking, toilets, shops and cafe in Caramond.

Port Seton beach is the harbour end of the long Seton Sands beach. As you get close to the harbour the beach becomes more rocky/shingle. Great for exploring rockpools. Facilities include car parking, toilets, children’s play area, pub and hard path promenade and grass area behind the beach. We have no dog information for Port Seton beach.

Cramond beach is a small sandy beach close to Edinburgh. At low tide, you can cross the causeway to Cramond Island, although you need to be aware of the incoming tide so that you don’t get cut-off or you may well have to spend the night on the island. Facilities include car park, toilets, shops and cafe in Caramond.
