Walpole Bay beach is a long sandy beach with a promenade, plenty of rock and tidal pools to explore. It is worth checking the tide times before a visit as at high tide, the sand all but disappears. St. Mildred’s Bay beach is a sandy bay with promenade, cliffs and tidal pool. At high tide most of the beach disappears so plan your visit although you can always look around Westgate. Facilities include lifeguards and first aid, cafes, pub and restaurant nearby, toilets, parking and chalets for hire.

Beach Hut on Tankerton beach just a few minutes walk from public toilets, cafes and local shops. Facilities include: balcony table/chairs, deck chairs, rugs, kettle, cutlery, crockery and books. Daily hire is from 9am to 10pm. Special rates available for longer hire periods including weekends and weekly hire. Sorry but we don’t allow pets.
