Popular for watersports: sailing club, windsurfing and kitesurfing.
Facilities include lifeguards and first aid, cafes, toilets, parking, chalets for hire, picnic area, pub and children’s play area nearby.
Minnis Bay Beach is a Blue Flag Beach.

Grenham Bay beach is different to those surrounding it in that it does not really have sand but consists of many rock pools below the Kent cliffs. Epple Bay has a small sandy beach with chalk cliffs and cliff stacks. The beach has concrete sea defences below the cliffs and a large grass area on top of the cliffs. No facilities are listed.

Westgate Bay is a sandy beach, a good family beach for sandcastles and many small rock pools to explore. The bay is tidal and so the beach will disappear at high tide. Facilities include seasonal lifeguards, cafes, car parking, toilets, chalets for hire, pub, and disabled access to the beach, with disabled toilets open all year.

St. Mildred’s Bay beach is a sandy bay with a promenade, cliffs and a tidal pool. Most of the beach disappears at high tide, so plan your visit, although you can always look around Westgate. Facilities include lifeguards and first aid, cafes, a pub and restaurant nearby, toilets, parking and chalets for hire.

Beach Hut on Tankerton beach just a few minutes walk from public toilets, cafes and local shops. Facilities include: balcony table/chairs, deck chairs, rugs, kettle, cutlery, crockery and books. Daily hire is from 9am to 10pm. Special rates available for longer hire periods including weekends and weekly hire. Sorry but we don’t allow pets.

Quex House is a family home and has six rooms of the Regency Mansion open to the public. The house includes gardens, woodland and the Powell-Cotton Museum. The museum includes the life’s work of Major P.H.G Powell-Cotton (1866-1940), displayed are collections of objects, stories, photographs and a huge collection of natural history presented through taxidermy.

Reculver Towers are all that remains os a Saxon church made within the remains of a Roman fort. Dramatic twin towers, known as the “Two Sisters” were added in the 12th century. The church now stands within a large campsite.
