Bran Sands is in the mouth of the Tees estuary, a sandy beach with dunes and very good location for bird watching. Popular kitesurfing location although at low tide be careful of obstructions in the water. The beach has parking but no other facilities.

Coatham Sands is a large sandy beach backed by dunes that run North of Coatham a northern area of Redcar. The dune system a biological Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) is in front of the golf course and is a haven for wildlife and plants. Very popular kitesurfing, landboarding and buggy location. No facilities other than car parking.

Marske Sands is a gently sloping sandy beach situated between Redcar and Saltburn. Facilities include toilets, slipway, local shops and parking next to beach.

Stray Beach is a sandy beach to the south of Redcar and the North of Marske sands. As this beach lacks facilities it tends to be quieter than the more popular nearby beaches of Redcar and Saltburn. Facilities at the beach include parking, toilets and a cafe but for more, you will need to head into Redcar.
