Blue Anchor beach is just under a mile long with a view of Minehead Bay. The beach is a mix of sand and shingle and is great for finding fossils. Minehead beach is also known as The Strand beach, a curving sandy beach, although becomes more pebbly as you approach the harbour. The beach has a large promenade that has a selection of cafes, restaurants, bars and shops. At the top end of the bay, you have North Hill which has some great views across the Bristol Channel to Wales

Greenaleigh Sand beach is sandy beach with a pebble bank at high tide mark and backed by wooded hills. The beach is accessible only on foot and is 1½ miles along the coast path from Minehead. The beach has no facilities and as you need to walk means it is usually deserted.

Dunster Watermill is a fully restored working 18th Century watermill built on a site mentioned in the Domesday Survey of 1086. The mill is set besides the River Avill and managed by the National Trust and you have the Watermill tea-room just 50 yards from the watermill and serves some good seasonal food.
