Explore Somerset Beaches and Coastline

Somerset is located in the south-western corner of England, with its northern shores bounding the mighty Atlantic Sea, the historic county of Somerset has been a perennial favourite for holidaymakers, whether for a weekend away or a longer break. This is the land of ancient forts, healing sites and an air of mysticism in the guise of the legend of King Arthur at Glastonbury and Cadbury.

Somerset is a region of two halves as you can find your traditional seaside fun in the coastal resorts of Weston Super Mare, Minehead or Burnham on Sea. Or get away from it all by exploring Exmoor, one of the UK's National Parks, renowned for its breathtaking moorland scenery, pretty fishing resorts on the coast such as Porlock and Watchet as well as the free-roaming Exmoor ponies.

Perfect for many different types of outdoor activity, Somerset offers you a multitude of opportunities for walking, hiking, cycling and kite-flying as well as being able to take to the waters for some surfing or paddle-boarding fun.
