Coldingham Bay Beach
Coldingham Bay beach is a sandy beach some 200m wide sheltered at either end by headlands with rocky sections. On the northern end of the bay stands The Kip, an eight-metre-high sea stack which is on dry land at low tide. At the southern end of the bay are the 30m high grassy cliffs of Yellow Craig.
A lot of beaches in this area are rocky and so Coldingham Sands as it is also known is popular due to the fact it is a large sandy beach.
The beach is popular with surfers and bodyboarders.
Facilities at the beach include car parking, cafe, toilets, summer lifeguards and beach hut rental.
Coldingham Bay Beach has been awarded a regional Seaside Award.
