- Coldingham Bay beach is a sandy beach some 200m wide sheltered at either end by headlands with rocky sections. On the northern end of the bay stands The Kip, an eight-metre-high sea stack which is on dry land at low tide. At the southern end of the bay are the 30m high grassy cliffs of Yellow Craig. A lot of beaches in this area are rocky and so Coldingham Sands as it is also known is popular due to the fact it is a large sandy beach. The beach is popular with surfers and bodyboarders. Facilities at the beach include car parking, cafe, toilets, summer lifeguards and beach hut rental.
