Llantwit Major Beach

Llantwit Major Beach is a pebbly and rocky beach at the end of a valley. The beach stretches for a long way in either direction backed by cliffs.

Llantwit Major is a good walker starting point with the rocky cliffs providing fossils and habitat for birds and cliff plants. Need to be careful as the cliffs can be loose with falling rocks.

Llantwit Major beach is known as a surfing beach and also windsurfing is popular although care should be taken as the beach is very rocky and mistakes can be costly to the kit.

Facilities include car parking, lifeguards in the summer months and a cafe.
