Shoreham Beach
Shoreham beach is a long wide shingle beach with wooden groynes. The beach is a popular South Coast water sports location, providing some good but safe sailing conditions.
Conditions at Shoreham depend on the wind, but a typical SW wind will produce nice conditions ideal for the intermediate sailor. Best to avoid 2 hours before and after high tide. If you are learning, Shoreham can be an excellent location to practise in a F2 or 3, with flat-ish water shallow for a reasonable distance out at low tide.
Facilities:
- A couple of pay and display car parks and limited parking on the road.
- Toilets
- Cafe (summer)
- Shops on Ferry Road near one of the car parks
