Festive fun at the Maritime Museum in Falmouth this weekend!

It’s a Christmas Cracker at the Maritime Museum

TAKE a break from Christmas shopping and head down to the Maritime Museum in Falmouth to enjoy a feast of festive family fun.   All this weekend and then from 22 December you can create your very own reindeer Christmas card, an angel for your tree and a wreath photo frame you can give as a gift.  There’s also the Christmas Around the World trail where you can discover how other cultures celebrate the festive season.

As an extra special treat this weekend, gather round the lighthouse kitchen and listen to the enchanting story of the Lighthouse Keeper’s Christmas.  Plus don’t miss your chance to have your photo taken on board Santa’s sleigh, complete with ‘mini reindeer’.

And once the Christmas festivities are over, the Maritime Museum has the perfect answer for what to do with the kids.  If you’re looking to get out of the house and do something different, head to the Museum and take part in their Out with the Old, In with the New activities from 27 December.  Take along your used Christmas cards and wrapping paper to add to the treasure chest of scrap and then use these recycled materials to make calendars, magic disks, paper kites, and windsocks.

All of the activities at the Maritime Museum this weekend and over the Christmas holidays are free with your Museum entrance ticket.  Just think of it as their gift to you!  For more information on opening times and admission prices visit www.nmmc.co.uk or call 01326 313388.
