Explore Looe & Polperro (Cornwall) Coast and Beaches

Looe is a small coastal town, fishing port in south-east Cornwall. The town is divided in two by the River Looe, East Looe and West Looe being connected by a bridge. Looe remains a fishing town with its small fleet of fishing boats returning their catches daily. The town is also known for its shark fishing. Annually in late September, Looe hosts the Looe Music Festival, which takes place in temporary venues around the town, harbour and on East Looe beach. Looe has two beaches, one on each side, Looe beach (also known as east beach) which is a sandy beach in the town and then the pebble beach of Hannafore just outside West Looe. We have also included Polperro which is another traditional fishing village and harbour to the west of Looe. Polperro is a beautiful village with fishermen houses packed into narrow streets around the harbour.
