Douglas lifeboat station

Douglas lifeboat station was established in 1802 although the first one closed in 1895 and this second station established in 1874 is now the present one. The station has a slipway launched all weather lifeboat.20

Douglas was home to the founder of the RNLI, Sir William Hillary.
