Great Union Camera Obscura
Great Union Camera Obscura was built in 1892 as a Victorian attraction for tourists.
It works by using a series of 11 mirrors and lenses which are located around the roof line above a darkened room. This produces views of the surrounding area projected onto a circular table which provides 11 moving colour pictures of the 360-degree view which includes Douglas harbour, the lighthouse and the horizon.
The attraction is manned by volunteers and can be closed in bad weather.
