North Sands Beach can be found south of Salcombe between two headlands in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) adjacent to the ruins of Salcombe (Fort Charles) Castle.

The beach at North Sands is a small beach with fine sand that all but disappears at high tide.

Salcombe North Sands Beach is dog-friendly all year round.

Facilities include a small car park, toilets, a shop and a cafe.
