Canford Cliffs beach is a shallow sloping sandy beach, although as the tide comes in the amount of sand available is limited. The beach is below a steep sandy cliff which means you have steps to go down to get to the beach. Facilities include parking, toilets (with disabled facilities), food kiosks, and lifeguards in the summer.

Alum Chine beach is a sandy beach popular with families and has a children’s play area and a paddling pool. The beach is not so busy as those closer to Bournemouth Pier and the town centre. Alum Chine Tropical Gardens are nearby. Facilities include toilets, car parking, disabled access, Cafe / Bar / Shop and lifeguards in summer months.

Durley Chine beach (west cliff) is a good family sandy beach. Water activities include sailing, windsurfing and canoeing and are zoned to allow for safe bathing. Facilities include parking, pub, beach hut and deck chair hire, lifeguards in the summer months, kids zones, toilets, pedalos for hire.

Studland Bay has over 250 beach huts of which some 50 are available for rent from the National Trust. The huts vary in location in that some are on the beach edge overlooking Studland Bay whilst others are set back and more secluded among the sand dunes. Rent can be daily or weekly from Saturday to Friday.
