Newbiggin Bay Beach is a large beach at Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, Northumberland. The beach has struggled with erosion over the years, but with the current sea defences in place, the sandy bay is back to its former glory. The offshore breakwater provides a sheltered area.
At either end of the bay, you have plenty of opportunities to explore the rockpools during lower tides.
There is a seasonal summer beach ban for dogs on part of the bay, with signage on site.
On-street parking and limited off-street parking are available on the village’s main street. The main car park is at Church Point, and the public toilets are situated beside the entrance to Newbiggin Golf Club near the car park entrance. Shops and cafes can be found nearby in the village, and the promenade offers a noice sheltered walk with views along the bay.
