Brean Down Beach

Brean Down Beach is a superb stretch of beach with firm sand and views of Brean Down.

At low tide, a wide area of soft sand and mud is exposed, leading to the water’s edge.  Tides can rise fast near Brean Down, and it is also dangerous to approach the water at low tide due to mud. Visitors should take note of the warning notices.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome on Brean Down Beach off the lead all year round. Horse riding is also allowed on this beach.

Vehicles can park on the beach during the day in designated areas, or you can park your car at the National Trust car park beside Brean Down.

Warden patrolled during peak summer months, toilets, and cafe.
