Burnham-on-Sea Main Beach is a sandy beach that is great for families with good swimming and entertainment. Unfortunately, dogs are banned from this beach all year round. The beach stretch is one of the longest in Europe, starting in Burnham-on-Sea but going on for miles to the north, including the famous lighthouse beach.
Burnham-on-Sea is a traditional no-thrills thriving seaside town created in the Victorian era.
Facilities at the beach include car parking, pier, shops, toilets, showers and lifeguards in the summer. The beach includes a separate area for boats and jet skis to launch.
Take note that at low tide, you can get large areas of mud.
