About Alum Chine Beach

Alum Chine Beach is a sandy beach popular with families and has a childrenโ€™s play area and a paddling pool. The beach is less busy than those closer to Bournemouth Pier and the town centre.

Alum Chine Tropical Gardens are nearby.

From 1 May to 30 September, dogs are not allowed on Alum Chine’s main beach and must be kept on a lead on the promenade, paths and zig zags at all times.

Facilities include toilets, car parking, disabled access, a Cafe / Bar / Shop and lifeguards in the summer months.
