Felpham Beach is a combination of pebbles and sand divided by groynes like most of the West Sussex beaches. As the tide goes out, you have rock pools and large flat beach areas. You have rows of beach huts at the back of the beach with nice grass areas in front.
From the start of May through to the end of September, no dogs are allowed on Felpham Beach from Canning Road to Felpham Sailing Club or the grass areas, although dogs are allowed on the promenade on a lead.
Felpham Beach sits next to the Bognor Regis beaches and is more built up with a concrete promenade than its easterly neighbours of Middleton-on-Sea, Elmer Sands and Climping.
Felpham Beach attracts more locals than tourists as it is located behind the village, with most tourists heading to Bognor Regis.
Facilities include a cafe, shop, toilets, beach huts, promenade, Felpham sailing club, tennis courts and putting green. Parking can be tricky on a summer day, but you can park either on the side roads or in the village’s large car park.
