Ramsey beach is a large stretch of sand that spans either side of the breakwaters and river mouth.
The main stretch runs north of the harbour and runs away from the town. The south stretch has the large Queens Pier running out to see from the middle of the beach.
The town is the second largest on the Isle of Man and can be busy with a working harbour and has a good selection of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants.
Dogs are allowed on the northern part of the beach, but bannedย on the part of the South Beach from the South Breakwater to the Lifeboat Slipway off Queen’s Promenade.
