Many coastal attractions and beaches have complete all-year-round dog bans. In many cases, this is down to historical buildings, nature reserves with livestock or busy locations with restricted space.

We have three dog-friendly tags to guide you: dog-friendly beaches allow dogs, dog restrictions have local restrictions and dogs prohibited have an all-year-round ban.
